Razak is a Singapore qualified marine engineer having over 34 years of experience working onboard NOL vessels and ashore. He has extensive experience in ship management which includes setting up new ship management offices and ISM certification. He is also actively involved in major project for machinery overhaul and repair. Starting his career in sailing in 1982 till he sailed as Chief Engineer, Razak served on container, oil tanker, general cargo and Bulk carrier. During sea career, mainly serve in NOL. Thereafter, he joined a Ship management company working as Technical Superintendent and Technical Manager. As technical manager he serves for eight years. He started his first shore job from Ocean Tankers and subsequently served GBLT and Titan Ocean as well.
During shore job, Razak managed Product/VLCC, FSU, Crude/Chemical/Gas tankers and Livestock carrier. After ship management he joined a marine consulting company as a Technical Consultant, where he was involved in carrying out insurance claims, technical investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment, ISM, ISPS and MLC audits, flag state Inspections and oil major inspections. He has also remained engaged in several conversion projects in china including double hull conversion for tankers and on conversion projects for FSU. Presently as Director Operation & Business Development with Global Radiance, apart from Ship management activities, he is also heading vessel layup including cold stacking and warm layup.
