John oversees marine consultancy offering support to OSV owners and operators, as well as new build and refit definition and project management, logistics support procedures development, SOP and trials procedure development, technical auditing, investigations and charter. As a dedicated and disciplined professional marine engineer with several years executive level experience within progressive maritime organizations John augments the Global Radiance managing specialized OSV operations and support domain. Earlier, John was MD of Hallin Marine’s Fleet of DSVs and MRSV and had established JT Marine & Offshore. In that role he was responsible for the operational, technical, safety and financial performance of the operational fleet. Additionally, he was responsible for the introduction into service of a MRSV and a new build program to deliver a novel design, first of class sub-sea construction vessel.

John has widely varied background as a marine engineer, honed within the New Zealand Navy where he served at sea in a variety of vessels as a marine engineer officer. His later career spanned senior leadership roles where his broad responsibilities spanned future Navy capability definition, the introduction into service of new build vessels, diplomatic roles, and culminated in leading and shaping the organization responsible for the provision of in-house and commercially contracted, technical and logistics support to the Navy’s varied fleet. He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Marine Engineer and Member of the IMarEST.
